We all know what the quality of air is like in a manufacturing facility or warehouse. We grew up working in this type of environment and have seen the impact on health first hand. Indoor industrial air quality is a problem – particularly at occupant level – and we want to bring awareness to it, as we offer a solution that improves it dramatically.
Truthfully, installing an air cleaner up in the ceiling doesn’t make sense. Air at the ceiling level is warmer by nature and therefore stays there. You’re cleaning the air where no one actually works, and that clean air cannot get down to where it’s needed.
You’re probably thinking that you don’t want to bring these fumes back down, but if you watch them from a few feet away, you’ll notice that after rising 3 feet quickly, they begin to spread out evenly in all directions (equalizing - Boyle’s Law). If you can smell them at floor-level they are NOT all up in the ceiling.
As the fumes rise and spread they also cool very rapidly. The heavier particles such as soot and fine metal particulate float or slowly settle at occupant level. An air cleaner way up in the ceiling has no chance of collecting this.
It’s not just welding fumes and fabrication byproducts that have this problem, but even general dust in a warehouse, big box store and any large space you can think of. The air quality problem remains at occupant level where we all work.
The ecoair is different because it’s specifically designed to remove the problem causing particles at occupant level.
Our research into understanding airflow patterns and fine particle transport within industrial buildings led us to our revolutionary design. We engineered a patented approach that moves a very large volume of air through our filters in a highly specific flow pattern.
Particles that are approximately 100 microns in diameter.
These airborne particles can enter the nose and mouth during normal breathing and include things like hail, snow, insect debris, room dust, soot aggregates, coarse sand, gravel, and sea spray.
Particles that are approximately 10 microns in diameter. These airborne particles will pass through the nose and throat, reaching the lungs. They include things like ice crystals, pollen, bacteria, windblown dust, fly ash, coal dust, mold and silt.
< 2.5 microns
Particles that are approximately 2.5 microns in diameter or less. These particles are a especially hazardous because they will penetrate into the gas exchange region of the lungs. They include things like viruses, bacteria, metallurgical fumes, soot, oil smoke, tobacco smoke, clay and other fumes.
The air enters at 350 FPM (Feet Per Minute) at the filter plane. That’s much slower than any alternative systems. The slower the air moves through the filters – the more particles they capture!
We also designed specialized washable and reusable filters to remove smaller particulate all the way down to .03 micrometers (.3 μm or microns).
This combination of slow air and specialized filters cleans the air in a large open space far more effectively than any alternative methods.
This means clean, clear air everywhere, filtering 320% more air than any alternative system. The benefits of clean air are far reaching.
Clean air doesn’t have to be a luxury either. The ecoair brings amazing results while using less energy, which reduces your carbon footprint. Clean air is good for your employees, your business and the planet.
If you only wanted to clean the air, this system would be a great solution. But it also tackles stratification and saves you money.
